    Admin     Tue Jul 18, 2006 12:32 pm

Address

San 107 Heul-ri, Ganseong-eup, Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do

Description

Alps Resort located on the plateau of Jinburyeong, a region with the heaviest and longest snow falls. It is a grandiose resort that includes a ski resort, a sled range and a golf course. The slope of the sledding Hills is separated from that of skiing so sled riders can safely enjoy sleighing.
The Alps Sledding Hills are used as snow sleighing during the winter and natural grass sleighing during the summer. Sled can be rented so that the whole family can have a good time together. Natural grass sleighing during the summer is also safe for the riders as the caterpillar-style sled with rollers are used to reduce friction as well as a rope to control the direction of the sled to prevent collisions.
Direct transportation from Seoul to the Alps Sledding Hills is provided. You can also take the Ganseong Bus (passes Jinburyeong) from Sangbong Terminal or Dong-Seoul Terminal in Seoul, get off at the Jinburyeong Peak, and call the information desk at (033) 681-5030 (Kor/Eng/Chi/Jap), and a staff will come to pick you up if there is available transportation before 6 pm (irregular). Since 033 is the local area number, when you call from the Jinburyeong Peak, you should just dial 681-5030.
